The bushings are very easy to assemble with the tools provided. With the possible exception of a hole punch. Apparently a punch should also be included with the 5/16" sleeve, so Lord & Hodge fitted a different sized punch to each end of the approximately 2" tube. Well, when you punch holes with a hammer, the side facing the working end of the hammer deteriorates quickly. (Note the solution I came up with was to attach the supplied piece of wood or a really big dowel or broomstick segment to the hammer head or the top of the punch - a little clumsy - but it saves the unused side of the tool .) Since I had a number of punches, I didn't use the tool. In each case the bushings sat straight without splitting the bushing stem meaning there were no sharp burrs to cut off. I highly recommend this brand. and I personally try to find Lord & Hodge brand gadgets to solve my DIY projects.
