I was a little confused by the price of this item but I must have missed the fine print because they are sending you two caps. This certainly made it more valuable and I was very happy with this purchase. I would very much like to buy it again, but it is not known when that day will come. The second cap is still brand new in the bag and it could be many months if not more before I switch to it. The durability of this item is great; I wear it almost every day for several hours while welding and it shows no signs of wear. The thread, material and stitching are strong. The best advice I can give on hat care. Of course, if you weld a lot, the lid will get very dirty. I've found that simply washing in the machine alone with other items doesn't get them completely clean. It is best to wash by hand in the sink with normal detergent, use it to wipe out dirty areas and wring out vigorously under water. After that, you can wash with other clothes and they'll look damn new. Another tip I'll give is not to put it through the dryer. Wear it on your wet head immediately after washing until it dries. After that, you swear it was tailored to your head.
