Shade in the Texas heat

Simply put, this shade is awesome. It’s very durable and surprisingly affordable. So far, it is stood up to three very powerful west Texas storms, and it’s still going strong. When installing, I recommend that you use u-hook connection with a heavy duty carabiner clip. This will allow the shade to have the ability to move with the wind without stressing any hard connecting points. It’s like the little bit of sway ability built into skyscrapers, it can move just enough to prevent damage, but not enough to cause it. Overall, I highly recommend this shade. For the price and quality, it can’t be beat.*Edit* - I have seen a lot of comments or complaints that the sail sags after a few days. This is a common phenomenon called "stretch”. It happens mostly with new carpet, but can occur to materials that are not conditioned to its environment when installed . It occurs when the material relaxes or "stretches” itself out once it had a chance to rest, in the carpets case, it will become loose and bunched up around the walls where it’s attached. It’s especially noticeable going from a cold environment to warm. While cold, the material contracts, when it’s warm, it expands. If you install the shade before it has a chance to stretch, it will sag on you once it relaxes and comes up to temp. Fortunately, there is a simple solution - before you install it, leave it outside for a day or two. This will give the material a chance to relax and "stretch it’s legs”. When you install it, most of the stretch will be gone, eliminating the sag. There will still be a little stretch once you install it and spread out the shade for the first time, but it won’t be noticeable once you tighten down the shade.
