Inaccurate: Vacuum Gauges

This is the second Testo Micron gauge I have purchased and both showed the same results. It doesn't really pull. As you can see, the CPS indicator comes after testo and has a lower value. The CPS is my main vacuum gauge but I love everything Testo makes except for this micron gauge. Identifier behind the micron sensor - accurate and detailed readings, I haven't seen any accuracy with it yet. Also really unfortunate. It's a $200 paperweight for now since the return window is closed. Save your money and don't buy it. There are other HVAC forums saying the same thing. Also to mention how much I don't like the hose fittings on this gauge, I prefer the CPS which only uses a 1/4 female thread connection making it easy to add a hose fitting. In contrast to testo, CPS is also supplied with an adapter. The Testo sensor is also slightly larger but has a temperature sensor and a water saturation temperature, but what's the point if you can't get an accurate micrometer reading.

Pros
  • Pressure and Vacuum
Cons
  • Expensive
