Very practical. It fits your hand perfectly. I especially appreciate that it keeps different sized strokes under control. It's sharp and punches holes. The only complaint, and this is a very minor one, is that it rotates when you press on it. I'm assuming this should be a feature to help you cut the hole straight, but it actually doesn't work as well as the other non-rotating hole punch. With the old one, I just tapped it with a hammer (or whatever I had handy, to be honest) and it put a hole through it. I usually have to try this a few times when I want to punch through thicker fabrics, cardboard or leather. I mainly use it to cut through fabric and paper to mark points on a pattern.
