The heating worked perfectly in my daughter's room. It felt cool, kept her room warm even with teenage temperatures outside, and made a great white noise. But after 2 months of flawless operation, it smelled strange for several nights when we turned it on. like a hot curling iron. Then one night I turned it on as usual. When I checked in with my daughter about 2 hours later, her room was freezing! The heater blew cold air with no heat. Tried turning it on and off, switching to different speeds and adjusting the temperature - still just cold air. So I pulled the device off, wrapped my daughter in extra blankets, and went to bed. it was friday I finally contacted Delonghi support today (Tuesday) as yesterday was a public holiday. They send me a new device but I have to email them the purchase confirmation and then send in the cable (cut off the device). I understand that so no one can abuse the system but my poor baby freezes in her room every night. Who knows how long she'll have to wait for a new heater! Letting her sleep in our (warmer) room is not an option - she thinks it's an all night dance party with mom and dad. It's mid-January and all the shops nearby have no heaters. Overall, as my name suggests, the heater was AMAZING! until it just stopped working. 1 week ago I might have given 5 stars here, which I might do again if the replacement is there quickly and works.
