Review on Experience Powerful Bluetooth 🔊 Audio with Klipsch R-51PM Speakers by Eric Jackson

I have a pair of R-51Ms and I love them. When my wife asked for a pair of Bluetooth speakers for the living room, I figured I couldn't go wrong with the R-51PM. These speakers sound good once they're broken in BUT there's a constant low hiss when turned on. It's not a buzzing sound like an old cell phone or a screeching sound like Bluetooth trying to connect, but a low hiss like a muffled white noise machine. The noise is independent of the input signal or the volume change. I tested them on my desk for a while listening to music from my laptop while working and the hiss was just too strong. When there is silence in the song and between the songs the hissing distracts. The situation is similar when watching movies: the noise is too loud when the speakers are close. I took her to the common room and streamed music from my phone via bluetooth while I cooked dinner. Bluetooth connection was easy and the sound was good. The remote has good range and I was able to adjust the volume from over 20 feet away. The R-51PM speakers are great for active areas with background noise (kitchens, places where children play). There is another shortcoming: The speakers have the so-called "Dynamic Bass EQ", which distorts the bass at low volumes. . Some people might like it, but I don't. The speakers have way too much bass if you can believe it. You can disable "Dynamic Bass EQ" by pressing and holding the button on the remote control for a few seconds, but you have to do this EVERY time you turn on the speakers. The speakers don't remember the "last used settings". I was impressed by the huge selection of inputs on the back. There's even a phono stage. The sound is awful, strong and loud, I just wish there wasn't a faint hiss because I'd love to put a couple of these on my desk.
