You probably need more than you think.
Got this to cover the edges of my glass coffee table. There were no instructions in the kit, but it was pretty easy to draw a conclusion. I was able to measure the length I needed and cut them with regular scissors. I found it a bit difficult to remove the backing without removing the adhesive from the lid. It seemed to stick well, I almost wish it was a little wider or the middle part was a little more open so it could wrap around. the edge is lighter. My glass isn't super thick and it wasn't enough for it to stick easily on both sides, so one of the others pulls up a bit. I had no idea how much I would need for my three shelves so be sure to measure before ordering so you don't order twice!
