I love this checkered lanyard. This is a great upgrade from our broken PE cable. This stays nice and tidy, making it easy to wind and unwind. It doesn't jam because there's no handle at the end. That is a good thing! If you need a handle, you can quickly make it with a loop (knot). I prefer a cow hitch style knot to which I attach a Mighty Paw line. Then when I want my dog to walk, all I have to do is loosen the leash and the control line moves freely without knots or tangles. The reflective properties are a plus for night games. Didn't really test the buoyancy but the end fell in the bucket and is floating. This material definitely absorbs more water than polycord. Keep that in mind when deciding what to use for wet activities. This will likely need to air dry before packaging.
