I abuse my hiking boots on Camelback Mtn. in phoenix. I descend quickly so need good traction as the boulders are so slippery and dangerous. Generally, if you get good traction, the tradeoff is that the rubber is soft, flakes, and wears out very quickly. Not in these shoes though (due to the graphene technology). I walked about 10 different boots on this mountain. Looks like I'll look no further and just keep buying them when they wear out.
