When I first received this unit I really liked it. I used it daily. I use a lot of mortis and pestle. It seemed like a really handy and effective shortcut. For the first two weeks it worked like a charm. I noticed that the pad was more elastic than firm and soon stopped working. It turns out that the gasket needs to be washed out of the dishwasher. This information comes from the website and not from the included instructions that came with the product. After contacting them online, they sent me a new gasket VERY quickly. I installed it. One day the rim of the bottom half cracked and crumbled, rendering the whole thing unusable. I don't know who they hired to make this device, but the company should sue them for fraud. Too bad. Clever design, really crappy execution.
