I broke my little finger at work so I put a splint on it and taped it to my ring finger. It worked really well as long as I didn't have to use that hand. Repeatedly grabbing two fingers on things with my right hand resulted in more tears than I care to admit. The splint immediately corrected this problem by protecting the fingers, and as a bonus, it prevented them from unconsciously flexing them at the large joint (sometimes this is painful too). I'm no tire expert but the quality seems excellent. The splint has a comfortable inner fabric that does not irritate the skin and the Velcro is still tacky and continues to hold the splint firmly in place. I don't know what else you could ask for: some sort of connected feature that would allow me to deploy a super powerful mesh with a flick of my wrist would be great, but at $35 per hoop that seems unrealistic. If you are the right size, the tire will fit correctly (see photo).
