There are two problematic issues mentioned in other reviews. One is leaking o-rings, and the other is relatively low water flow. I experienced both. Within 30 minutes of installation I noted a pool of leaked water. To keep the unit from leaking into the fridge interior I swapped out the o-rings from the original GE filter (looked ever so slightly greater in diameter gauge) originally provided with the fridge. That worked fine, but I suspect there are only so many times that will be a viable option. The issue of low flow volume was very bad initially but has abated somewhat to the point that it's only a minor irritation.It's a shame that this unit got so close to being acceptable but for (probably) 4 cents worth of parts. In total, this filter is not bad enough to be troubled with returning, but in the future I'll be spending the additional $$$s on the GE filter.
