Review on πŸ“Ή BlueAVS HDMI to USB Video Capture Card 1080P: Record & Stream Live Video via DSLR, Camcorder & Action Cam - Metal-Gray by Ronald Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works and the latency is close to zero. The price is impressive.

This review is for BlueAVS HDMI to USB 1080p USB2.0 AV Capture Card Recording via DSLR Action Cam with USB Extension Cable. Model number BLAVCCUSB20IN. Is working. The latency is close to zero. It runs 60 fps at 720p or less. It's really great as an input capture card for a twitch streamer just starting out (if you also have an HDMI splitter for monitor output). This will capture and output to your 720p consoles at 60fps. At higher resolutions only 30 frames per second. I couldn't test 4K, but 2K ran at 30 fps. In another review I read that someone was unable to record audio from this device in OBS. It works but doesn't look like Elgato devices. In BlueAVS, video and audio devices are separate and need to be added to OBS scenes separately. I used the instructions I found in the YouTube video comments. 1) Connect the HDMI console to a USB video capture device. 2) Download OBS Studio 3) In OBS, under SOURCES, add "Audio Input Capture" and set DEVICE to "digital". Audio Interface (USB Digital Audio)". Click "OK". 4) Right click on AUDIO MIXER and select "Advanced Audio Properties" 5) Here go to "Capture Audio Input " (which we created in step 3) and set "Sound monitoring" to "Monitoring and output" Now you will hear the sound of your console 6) In OBS under "Sources" add "Video capture device" 7) In the properties of the just added video capture device Options:- Set DEVICE to USB Video " - Set RESOLUTION/FPS TYPE to "Custom" - Set RESOLUTION to 1280 x 720 - Set FPS to 60 on
