Almost perfect solution for keeping the contents of your saddlebag dry

I bought a medium sized model and it's almost perfect, especially now that I don't have to dry my saddlebag and its contents on a ride in the rain. I use it to carry an inner tube, a small multi-tool, a tire manipulator, a CO2 blower, 2 CO2 canisters and a small bag of parts (e.g. various nuts/bolts, chain links/bolts/connectors). There's still a third of the capacity left (maybe for keys, wallet, some food. Although I usually carry that in my back pocket). So it's a little bigger than I need, but a small size would be too tight. Luckily it doesn't look ridiculously big and doesn't put me off peddling. I particularly like the quick release buckles/straps for attaching the bag to the seat rails - they work much better than Velcro. I also like the bag's secure closure system, which involves: 1) velcro to close the opening of the bag, 2) fold under that section of velcro once, and 3) then attach two more quick-release buckles to keep the bag closed - it It takes longer to access the time pocket and then close it again instead of using a zipper (but I guess that's the price you pay for a waterproof pocket). The only thing that bothers me (which is inherent to the bag's strap attachment system) is that my seatpost has some sharp edges and screw ends that make contact with the bag. So that the waterproof barrier of the bag doesn't wear out in no time at all due to this problem, I attached a few felt pads to these places. BTW, for those worried about this issue, try the version that uses the QuickClick system to attach the bag to your saddle seat rails as it doesn't sit as close to the bottom of your saddle/seatpost like the harness (so I would have preferred this version, but unfortunately my seat is too far forward for the QuickClick clip to attach to my seat rails - well).

Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
