I find these label printers a bit overkill for me, I use them a few times a month at home and not in a professional environment. It is therefore very important for me to be able to quickly enter and print out the address. This Brother printer seems like good hardware, the Wi-Fi setup was easy and it's interesting to plug in a battery and be truly wireless. But the P Touch software (on Mac) doesn't really help the user, it seems a bit outdated. First of all, I want to print mailing labels, but the software doesn't allow me to enter an address. You need to import Excel or your address book. If the address is read from there (Exchange and Mac contacts), the zip code is a separate field that you have to manually place on the label - what if the city/state is a bit longer? your problem. An address barcode is supported, but must first be manually added to the label and then re-entered to create it. You can run many programs with this device and it can be useful in a corporate environment, but as a home user I prefer Dymo LabelWriters and their software. Their software looks a bit like a lollipop and doesn't support that many different bar/2D codes (still around 8), but it's convenient, fast and easy.
