No, the whole roll is usable, the material is too thick

The last 12 inches are unusable as they are opaque and glued to the plastic cylinder (you pay for 9.8ft but can only do 8ft use). The tape is too thick and not suitable for curved surfaces (e.g. mirrors in advertising photos), it leaves a lot of creases. The adhesive does not stick well to rough plastic surfaces.
