What a great little plug in the DVM. It's small and unobtrusive, and best of all, it's adjustable, giving you reasonably accurate readings. I say this simply because it's strictly three digits so only the voltage closest to +/- 0.5 VAC is shown. This is normal for most applications. I feed my high fidelity audio through a Tripp Lite IS500 isolation transformer, an APC Line-R 1200 AC voltage regulator, and a Furman M-8x2 power conditioner that I purchased from Revain. I plugged the meter into a switched outlet on the front of the Furman to monitor the actual voltage going to my devices. Now I can see at a glance that my expensive devices are properly powered! It's cheap peace of mind.
