Review on 🔧 Dorman Transfer Case Shift Motor 600-901 for Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC - Enhancing Selection for Improved Performance by Alex Gilbert

I installed the block. Before reinstalling the driveshaft and skid plate, I checked them first. It seemed to be working fine. Can switch between all positions. Everything reassembled, tools put away, truck off the jack. Went from neutral to 2hi and the light just blinked. The actuator sounded like it was trying to shift then a 4WD service message appeared. Ignition key turned off, tried again but this time on 4lo. The engine and transfer case rattle, then the 4lo light came on as if it had shifted. I wanted to shift from neutral to reverse, but there is no reverse. The transfer case was still in neutral. I removed the block and reinstalled my original one, which would at least allow me to switch between 2WD and auto. Will return. I wasn't happy spending an evening working on it only to finish where I started. Update: The return of the defective device was not a problem. I ordered a replacement from another manufacturer and received it in no time. Block 2 seems to work fine.
