My cat tries to run away for the first thirty seconds or so every time she puts it on. So far he has never managed to do that. I wish the leash was a foot longer, but it's nice and light. It really doesn't bother my cat after she's started rolling and running on my cement patio. it doesn't even show the wear and tear of it all. It's worth noting that this seems very reliable, so I wouldn't leave a harness on a cat unattended. I feel like if they commit to something they can't leave. It's definitely not a tear-off collar. My cat did several pull tests to check for bugs. Although I really like it. He feels safe.
