The stone came cracked, the case was broken; But the quality of the stone is excellent and I would never return it if I risked getting a replacement that might be in worse condition. I was completely amazed that this 1000 grit stone could make a straight razor. Sharpening almost mirror polished sharp edges on my Japanese chisels in just minutes. The same task used to require multiple stones and a lot more time per stone with my previous set of cheap sharpening stones. Other features of the stone: * no soaking required (splash and go) * "oily" smooth cutting action * plastic case would be useful IF IT IS NOT DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING!
