Review on Nyrius Aries Home HD 1080p Video Streaming HDMI Digital Wireless Transmitter & Receiver, for Cable Box, Satellite, Bluray, DVD, PS3, PS4, Laptops, PC (NAVS500) by Scott Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

At first I was skeptical. But!

So my setup is a PC in the bedroom and everything else in the next room (beamer, home cinema, WLAN router, console game). It works as good as it is, but I wanted to be able to play my PC games in the next room with a much better audio visual setup (120 inch screen, Klipsch surround sound system, comfy couch!). Now I didn't like it. The idea of moving the entire ATX tower every time I want to play video games was what made me look for a wireless display solution. I read a lot of reviews and noticed that the review sites mostly list the Nyrius Aries series as one of the best products for a budget wireless HDMI solution, but Revain mentioned connectivity issues in many of the user reviews. I decided to just try it myself and see if it would work for me or not. The AV receiver in the next room is about 24 feet tall. I connected the HDMI receiver to the HDMI AV input port and the HDMI transmitter to the PC HDMI output port and waited about 7 seconds, and my PC screen was projected through the projector in the next room. It was quick and easy to set up and I've tried it for gaming (almost imperceptible lag), watching videos, editing footage etc and it worked really well for me. Personally I haven't experienced any connection issues and so far I love this product!
