This was our 12 year old daughter's most important Christmas present this year. While we know our daughter well enough to assume she'll be thrilled, a 12-year-old can be unpredictable in general. And this scope arrived on Monday and I haven't unpacked it yet. So this morning I was a little apprehensive, especially as I originally intended to buy her a compound scope. Vain. This baby has been glued to this scope ever since he opened the gift. It was all day "Dad, you have to see this!" and "Mom, come and see it! I am impressed with the build quality of this scope. Pretty solid. The only caveat I would like to offer is that the top of the lamp housing can get very hot and easy to accidentally hit when adjusting the ring from 1x to 3x. Just remember to avoid quick irritation. If she shows interest we will definitely reach out to AmScope for a composite sight.
