Review on 15 Inch Wooden Shoe Horn With Long Handle - Easy To Use And Carry by Greg Sullivan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

sturdy and well made

The Bible tells us that if we reach the age of 70 years we are blessed, and if we should reach 80 years the Lord has blessed and we have arrived there by reason of strength -- I am half-way there, and at the age of 75 I have graduated to codger-hood. Now that I am living in that "hood" I sometimes require a long-handled shoehorn. My white-haired badge of distinction (In addition to tubbiness and creaking bones) has left me with the feeling that I am now further away from my shoes, and, therefore, this wooden TungSam shoehorn has been an additional blessing. It is not only sturdy and well-made, but it closes the distance and helps me to complete the job of "shoeing" for the day's "trot". My shoehorn looks hand-made and even hand-finished and is made of a strong wood. It has the look of the Amish craftsman, but I have no idea who made it. In my own "battle of the bulge" I have had many shoe-horn casualties, both short-handled and long, but I tend to think this is the best of the lot, as well as being good value for cost. The only change that I might suggest would be a slightly wider horn, but then it might not slip into my shoe like "butta" - as it does now. I consider it a rugged, handsome, and useful addition to my dressing accoutrement.until I can afford a gentleman's gentleman!

Pros
  • Thumbs Up!!
Cons
  • The product may not be practical for individuals who frequently change shoes throughout the day
