Ideal for outdoors where a battery operated poop mat is not possible. Although one of my dogs has learned to tolerate when not stressed. It looks a bit like a medieval torture device, but it's actually not harmful. This keeps my dogs away from some dangerous bad habits, like trying to jump a fence and fighting our neighbor's dog through a gap in the wall. Also prevents them from digging in the door. I plan to buy a few more. UPDATE: After a few days of rain, they completely fell apart. Complete failure! So disappointed. Must now give 2 stars - only works as a temporary solution. They have not been used for a long time and are certainly not suitable for the road.
