Nuvi Vent Mount on Camry 2010

Downgraded to 3 stars for writing the review below. The plastic clips that attach to the vents are so loose that the device falls out as soon as I put the Nuvi on. I would give this one 0 stars, but I was able to fix it by threading a black zip tie through a slot in the block and around the air vent. This keeps it fairly secure, but it's more or less permanently installed now. To use the GPS in a different vehicle, you need a different vent mount. I still use this mount and although I had to modify it, I find it to be well worth it. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. I bought it for a 2010 Toyota Camry. There were no instructions but it was easy to figure out by looking at the picture on the web. It was a little tricky to install at first as the clips that attach it to the air vents were tight and stiff. However, these are just plastic clips and have loosened up a bit after a few installs and removals. The unit fits nicely in the 2010 Camry's air vent, and the GPS is in a great position when mounted on the left air vent just above the radio. It's easy to see and reach and doesn't interfere with any controls. You will need the mount that comes with the suction cup mount. I found it best to leave the device in place with the mount attached. The vent mount is strong enough to get the job done, but I don't think it's strong enough to remove and replace every time you want to use the GPS. After just a few assembly attempts, the clamps loosened too much, but continued to hold. For this reason I chose to leave the mount attached as attaching and detaching can cause the mount to move. The mount was worth the four dollars I paid because I was able to put the GPS in a good spot. I used to attach the GPS to the radio screen with a suction cup. This worked but blocked the radio screen and sometimes fell off. I would buy this item again. I would also buy a second unit and an extra mount if using it in a second car. I would also buy again from the same seller, Semson's. They delivered quickly and didn't add excessive shipping costs.
