Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Sentry Supply 656 8202 T: Durable Stainless Construction for Enhanced Security by Carlos Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Alternate use of Sentry mounts.

Excellent sturdy stainless steel U-bracket which I used to hold my wood stove's copper colored heat shield about an inch from the wall. Another hole on the side is great for attaching these U-Brackets to my fiber cement refractory wall with 2 expandable wood screws once I have drilled an extra screw for the second lever bolt anchor and there is enough room on the opposite side for 3mm spot welding. a thick flat steel bar 1 inch wide between the bracket at its front. I then simply attached my heat shield to the flat bar for horizontal support and riveted the heat shield to the flat bar with copper rivets. I made 4 sets of these brackets to securely wall mount a 2200 x 900mm heat shield weighing 16kg. The spot-welded horizontal strut is not required for thicker heat shields. The SENTRY mounts really anchor the assembly to the wall, leaving just over 1 inch between my heat shield and the wall. Stainless steel doesn't react with a copper heat shield, so that's another bonus. Not only are they an alternative use for these SENTRY mounts, but they are also AS/NZS2918 compliant. .2001.Sometimes you have to think outside the box to find a solution and the SENTRY brackets were mine!
