Pointless. They just don't absorb moisture, which is why I bought them. I had liner socks that looked just like this years ago and they were a miracle - when I wore them on a hike my feet were dry to the bone and my cotton top socks were soaked with sweat. These didn't even come close. I tried them twice but my foot was just as wet and sweaty as the outer sock when I took them off at the end of the day. They fit well on the foot but the top band was so tight I had to roll it up to my ankle and I have fairly skinny shins. I don't know how durable they can be as there was no point in wearing them a third time.
