I received this item as a gift. The toy itself is small (about 4 inches tall), light weight and very cute. My daughter enjoyed dealing with him. He makes sounds and his eyes light up in different colors, signifying different emotions (sadness, joy, hunger, cold, etc.). She liked taking care of him. In terms of flight, it only flies in the nest and needs to be placed on a flat surface. It flies quite high, so you definitely need plenty of room to let it fly and keep other things and people away from it. If it collides with something while flying, it will fall down and cause a sad emotion. The maximum flight time is about 10 seconds. When flying, the propeller tends to be too noisy, that's probably the only thing we didn't like. The owl is rechargeable, so that's a plus. All in all, this is a very fun interactive toy.
