Bought for a labrador who injured his back twice jumping out of my CRV and for a collie who has a longer body than she is tall so jumping and jumping in uncomfortable at this height. It takes a bit of persuading to get the dogs up and down this ramp first, but the ramp is stable - doesn't wobble, opens and closes easily, even halfway with one hand while using the other hand to keep the dogs from closing prematurely jump before I set the ramp and the lawn prevents the dogs from slipping. My husband was skeptical that dogs would use it and although I still have to hold her collar to get her up and down I feel like I'm sparing her back.
