Very convenient. I sleep on my side and have trouble finding supportive pillows. My ears don't stick out far from my face, but for some reason they always hurt on ordinary pillows. So far my ears feel good, which is a great relief. Green is a vibrant turquoise gemstone shade that I love. I like it when I'm very comfortable on a hike so it's great for my purposes. My sleeping bag and pillow are also huge in their compression sacks and stuff sacks, so my pillow might be the same as well. When folded it is about 10 x 5 inches. This is doable for my hiking campsites. Ideal for car camping. It folds up, but it's still huge. I don't know how else they could make it so convenient, just smaller so it might not be possible. If you are a casual backpacker looking for a packable pillow, you may be disappointed. Note that there will be a slight "new memory foam" smell upon first use. This has been the case with all of my memory foam products. It's going ok.
