The included mat is actually 2.5 inches thick instead of 3 inches.
False advertising. It's not 3 inches. I took the rug out of the box and let it swell for 4 days, measured the thickness at 3 different points and it was actually 2.5 inches. As for comfort, I don't know yet. When you unpack it smells like new material. Now I'll let it air out and see if it goes away. If not I'll just go ahead and leave a low rating and come back.
