As other reviews state all screens flash when switching any inputs or outputs probably because all inputs and outputs need to re-sync which is why it is lose a star. Therefore, this switch is not useful for live performances. However, for my purposes it is acceptable and, most importantly, reliable so far. It is optimal when a pure HD resolution (1920 x 1080) is used or when all inputs and outputs work at the same resolution. It does not perform scan conversion. So if you have monitors with different resolution limits, the incompatible output will not work. I didn't want to buy this product, but after encountering excellent customer service from J-Tech for an HDMI audio extractor, which caused me a lot of hassle (which I ended up returning for a refund), I was confident I could get one of which she would try her others.
