Review on Adjustable Electric Microneedling Pen With 20 Cartridges - Derma Pen For Face And Body Home Use For Effective Skin Treatment by Michael Duman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Who needs the med spa?

I've been fighting some hyperpigmentation since pregnancy and have done numerous IPL treatments at the med spa. They said the next step was microneedling, but after quite a lot of research of local spots, I was not willing to stomach the cost. Thus, I went to Ebay to find if there was some semblance of an option to approach microneedling at home instead. This specific product had the best overall reviews, ratings, and photo results, so I decided I would give it a try. I did my homework, got all the before and after products outlined (hydro for before, peptides for after) and watch some videos (definitely recommend) to understand how to go about it. After my first round this morning, I can definitely say it's easy to use! My hyperpigmentation is mostly on my forehead, so i started at .5 and did cheeks and chin/jaw as well, then dropped down to .25 for the rest of my face. Overall, it's not painful. I'd label it as slightly uncomfortable, but as other reviewers mentioned, more like tingling. And honestly, if you've ever done IPL, this is nothing. I'm quite red (but that already seems to be fading)-so I would definitely recommend doing this when you plan to be home for a few hours, although my skin is pretty sensitive. I'll take it easy and not apply any makeup or products for the next day or two, but otherwise, I am feeling good about it and anxious to see if there's any improvements! Beats $250-$500 treatments!

Pros
  • The needles used in the pen are ultra-thin, making the process less painful than traditional needles and promoting faster healing.
Cons
  • Risk of bleeding
