Granite pebbles are great and beautiful when wet. However, they were dirty and damp and had to be rinsed thoroughly before use. The fact that they were covered in mud leads me to believe they have a granite beach somewhere in Canada. The seller simply pours in a bucket of pebbles and throws them through a sorting machine to sift them to size. They then pack them in a labeled bag and ship them. However, if you don't care about dirt and plan to clean the pebbles in any way. They are excellent as stones for the XXL moisture tray I set up for my bonsai. :)
