I have had many cameras in my life, very expensive and very cheap. I have never owned a battery powered camera like this. I bought batteries and a charger and then additional batteries. If you use it on a day trip, you'd better have spare batteries with you as this camera doesn't last long. Also, the compartment where you put the batteries has a slide switch that locks it in place to keep the batteries inside. If you do pick up a camera at all, take it out of your bag or even wear it around your neck and hold it tight. , it is very easy to move the shutter and all the batteries will fall out. It's very light and the images will be blurry if you don't focus and hold it. I need something I can pick up and photograph in a jiffy. This camera won't do it. It takes some good shots, but I can honestly say I don't see any difference between my phone and my camera. I'd say you get what you pay for, but I have a small Canon that's half the price and the pictures are just as good, if not better. I only bought these because I couldn't find my Canon. Thank goodness it showed.
