Useless customer support/monitor warranty, broken out of the box.

I've been waiting to buy this monitor for over a year. Initially I was going to go for a different monitor but this one has an IPS panel so I was hoping for a better viewing experience. Right out of the box I noticed a row and column of bleached/dead pixels slowly turning into a full corner of dead pixels. The box and packaging were in pristine condition, there are no other signs of even slight damage to the monitor. I contacted Revain who then referred me to LG who informed me that my brand new out of the box monitor with a cracked screen was out of warranty and would cost around $400 to fix. Revain's support has been great, but for now I've given up on LG completely. This isn't the first time their terrible customer support and reverse policy has left me frustrated and cost me dearly. Luckily Revain picked it up and I'll just wait until a different brand monitor comes in stock.
