Falling apart after a day of use

I ordered these shoes for my son who has a leg length deficiency on the left side. As always, before we used them, I sent the left shoe to the prosthesis practice to have the instep attached to the sole of the boot. After two weeks in the office we got the shoes back and drove to the camp. The first day he wore the shoes, the toe strap of his right shoe had been completely ripped off and left untouched by the prosthetist. Well I used his latest shoe lifter on a pair of shoes that fell apart on first use. This shoe lift costs $80. I would like to speak to the company that sold me these shoes through Best Buy to see if they could send me a new correct boot so we can still use the boot we put on. I've attached a photo of the repair I was trying to do to the right shoe in a desperate attempt to keep the shoes usable since I've had them on.
