Review on 🎵 Hudson Hi-Fi Audiophile Grade Silicone Rubber Turntable Platter Mat - Universal Design for All LP Vinyl Record Players by Brian Quenzer

I bought this as an upgrade to the thin felt mat that came with my NAD C558 glass screen. I removed the felt mat and installed the Hudson. It's a little thicker, but I haven't made any adjustments to the BTA. I've listened to a few well-known albums and found that the music sounds less clear and kind of dull. I used to be able to hear different parts of a cymbal hit or a drum hit. Now it wasn't so noticeable. Maybe it works better on a different plate material. If you have a loud sounding system then this is probably what you are looking for. I read somewhere that your turntable is a combination of many parts working together to create the sound you want. (No citation, but you get the idea) Obviously a thin felt rug was chosen for a reason. I'll keep it anyway, you never know, maybe I'll switch cartridges and need it.
