I wanted a CPU cooler that would be compact for my h81m-e33 motherboard and have a black and red design to match my setup. It worked. It also has a hollow copper core and seems to fit my i5 4460. I just upgraded to an i7 4770, the mounting system is very flimsy so it took me a few times to get it attached to the motherboard. I also recommend removing their thermal paste and applying a high quality paste (about the size of a grain of rice). I've been monitoring my temperatures with openhardwaremonitor and so far my i7 4770 idles around 32-35 degrees with this cooler. Load It was about 55C or so and it's charging to 3.8-3.9GHz. I'd say if you're using a standard i7 other than an i7 4790k or i7 7700k then you're fine. I took off a star because the mount is such an issue, but other than that it seems to run pretty quiet and cool.
