Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Enhanced E2 Kitchen Knife Sharpener by Work Sharp by Olajuwon Achille

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Compact and easy to use.

This is my first time using an electric kitchen knife sharpener. I have been using Japanese whetstones for many years but it took me a while as I use two types of stones to sharpen 5 kitchen knives that I use every day. I sharpen my knives every week. After looking at several reviews of electric sharpeners, I decided to purchase the Work Sharp Culinary E2 Mini kitchen knife sharpener. This model uses grinding wheels compared to other models that use a grinding belt. I like the compactness and simplicity, but I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about the sharpness and blade life. I was pleasantly surprised that the blades stayed sharp enough for about a week. So I keep sharpening each week, but it's quick and easy. I registered my E2 Mini with the manufacturer online and got some free replacement sanding sheets from the manufacturer. I don't know how long the discs will last before I need a replacement. I've tried finding replacement grinding wheels on Revain but they don't seem to be available. I went to the manufacturer's website but they only list replacement belts for other models. I contacted them through their website to inquire about pricing and availability of replacement drives. Haven't gotten an answer from them yet. Here's an update. Rating changed to 5 stars. Shortly after I asked Darex, the maker of the Work Sharp Culinary E2 sharpener, about replacing the grinding wheels, I got a response from them. They said the E2 is a new product and they haven't updated their website about replacement drives yet. A few discs were shipped quickly. I sharpen kitchen knives weekly. I've learned to keep a ready sharp edge on them. So easy to use. I've been using this sharpener for over 3 months. Grinding wheels are still good. Haven't had to replace them yet.
