I've been pretty serious about electronics for maybe 4 decades and have had the best gauge I can afford all along could. My latest purchase and first new test tool in a long time is the Fluke 101, a handy sized DMM with amazing features from a leading test equipment manufacturer. It arrived last night so I don't have much time. with it, but I REALLY like the size and bottom output jacks for standard security sensors. I think 6 1/2 digits of display, although I doubt it has that level of voltage measurement accuracy. This is normal as my need for more than 3 1/2 digits of voltage accuracy is near zero. The new meter cost $45 and I consider it a colossal deal. I'll probably get rid of my other two DMMs when I get this one. I'm getting older and limiting my testing gear. As it should be, right?
