We fed our dogs regular Merrick food and decided to switch to adult food after one of our dogs developed back problems (we also started giving dogs the older vitamin glucosamine admit) . The dog's back is feeling better and she has gone from 15 pounds to 13.5 pounds in just over a month. I like that the pellet pieces are so small that I think my other dog will be easier to eat (he doesn't have the best teeth). We plan to continue feeding them this food. If it's a little more expensive than you're used to spending: I've had several dogs in my life and it should be noted that with the two dogs I have now, we've always spent more to get a dog of better quality get quality food.
