I installed this main unit on a 2003 Yukon. No trimming was required to fit the dash, but a mounting kit (Amazon or Best Buy) is required and there are still small gaps around the edge. It's not a HUGE deal, but I like mods to be as perfect as possible. In general, the device works well. I thought Apple Play was a wireless feature in all comparable devices, so I was very disappointed when I learned that to use Apple Play you have to plug the iPhone's USB cable into the front of the device. It's not necessarily my fault, more like my own misunderstanding, but still... A rear USB port would be nice to tuck away a cable that runs through the dash. return to the setting you left every time you turn the car on. Therefore, you have to reselect Bluetooth each time you turn on the car. The sound quality is excellent. I like that the device is easy and relatively intuitive to use, but I wish there were more brightness settings. It's a bit bright at night for my taste, especially with the colored lights coming out of the side entrance.
