Review on Extra Thick Large Cotton Buffing Ball by Cris Drew

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Durable and versatile. This can be used at different angles and I have already washed it.

This polishing ball definitely saved my shoulder while waxing my table saw. As others have pointed out. This polishing ball throws out some threads. However, this happens the first time you use it, and if you buff your hand you can probably get rid of most of the threads before you even touch the item you're working on. It threw out a few threads after the initial break in, but then I caught a corner or square edge and the polishing ball got stuck on the edges of the table. You can use this ball at various angles including straight up and straight down. The cotton padding is enough to keep your car, boat or table saw from getting tangled in the shaft threads. After I finished waxing the table saw, I threw the buffing ball in a garment bag and into the washing machine. It came out in great shape and I dried it on a hanger. The ball itself is soft but hard and stays the same wash after wash. For the wax I used Collinite Paste Fleaboutx 12 Oz 885. I've found that the buffing bead stays cleaner and works better if I buff with a cloth first to remove excess wax. It also stays clean and doesn't need to be washed as often. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it throws threads, which is a very minor issue. Pros: Works well Soft yet durable Works at multiple angles including straight up and down Easy to clean Sturdy and ready to be reused after wash and wash. Dried InexpensiveEasy to use Cons: I couldn't tell if the stem was removable for cleaning. Requires flossing on first use and whenever you catch the buffing ball by the edge. Feels a little small for car or boat use
