I have the old "cult" Vivitar Series One 100mm F2.8 lens along with the K&F PK to NEX adapter as a macro lens on the Sony A6000 used. It works, but the combination is big, bulky and weighs 745 grams. The Sony Macro weighs 150 grams and is a FLAT FIELD lens. big difference. A shorter focal length also gives a much better depth of field. The autofocus is slow but actually works, although I usually fall back to manual focus for macros. My eyes are old weak and need bifocals. I cheat and use a 10" HDMI screen for close focus along with a bunch of LEDs. My only complaint is the ugly silver color. Why, uh, why couldn't Sony release an update for this lens in black with image stabilization enabled for Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras?
