Great for hamsters. Just make sure you choose the right size (average 7.5 inches) for Campbells, Winter Whites, and Robots. Large (12 inches) for Syrians and Chinese. Not my first choice if you have a Syrian or Chinese as it takes up a lot of space in the cage, but if you have a shorter cage it will perform differently than a traditional wheel which may not fit. I have a medium for my hamsters but I bought a large for my hedgehog. While this works for hedgehogs, I don't recommend it for them. There were issues with it breaking under the hedgehog's weight (I haven't had that in the 3 or 4 months I've had it, but others have had). In addition, hedgehogs pee and poop while walking. Poop will get stuck in the grooves of this wheel making cleaning difficult.
