Great for hamsters. Just make sure you choose the right size (average 7.5 inches) for Campbells, Winter Whites, and Robots. Large (12 inches) for Syrians and Chinese. Not my first choice if you have a Syrian or Chinese as it takes up a lot of space in the cage, but if you have a shorter cage it will perform differently than a traditional wheel which may not fit. Daughter has a big Syrian hamster teddy bear. A very spoiled hamster with a complex cage system including an enclosure for a guinea pig. This wheel/saucer is huge. No joke.
