Somehow I thought it was a little thicker. It's pretty flimsy, but still gets the job done for me. I have no doubt this will keep me from getting fat while working in the garage. I don't know exactly how well it holds up to cooking. I suspect it will do its job of preventing oil, sauce, etc from splattering while cooking. However, this does not prevent the liquid from penetrating the fabric. So if you spill a large amount of liquid on the apron I suspect it will seep. I personally wear it when I'm working on my bike and working with oil or grease. I'm tired of constantly getting my pants dirty with chain lube so this apron does a great job of keeping my clothes clean. Maybe a little thicker but I think you have to pay a little more. Comes at 2 so can't complain.
