Before ordering I had a "harness" for the dog which consisted of one part that connects to the seat of the harness and the other end to attach to your dog Collar. When you get into a serious accident, it was basically a noose around your dog's neck. If the impact hadn't killed your dog, this thing probably would have snapped his neck. The other end connects to your dog's collar, it connects to the included harness. It's a lot safer for your dog and a lot more effective. The harness is true to size and easy to put on and take off for your dog. If you ever take your dog with you in the car I highly recommend getting this product or one similar to it.
